Adaptation Program

As a caterpillar comes out of its cocoon to explore the world around it and to be a beautiful butterfly eventually; in the same way young, innocent and adorable pre schoolers leave the comfort zone of their homes  to take a step forward in life and enter the world of formal education i.e. Pre School. At K.R.Mangalam World School we organized an 'Adaptation Program' for five consecutive days for our little pre schoolers to make them feel happy and comfortable as well as to enable them to adjust to the new environment. Adaptation program commenced on Monday, March 14, 2011 and ended on Friday, March 18, 2011. Each day, the kids were welcomed with great deal of warmth. Fun filled and exciting activities like- dance, art and craft, music were conducted for them. Children were given a dress code for each day like pink and blue, black and white, floral, party dress to maintain their level of excitement. They were engaged in various group activities that helped in enhancing their fine motor skills and concentration power like- making of chef caps, multipurpose holders, cards and vegetable and hand printing. Melodious rhymes and fantastic stories were narrated through puppets, CDs and Interactive Board. The toddlers also donned the chef’s hat for a day and prepared corn salad during the kitchenette activity. Healthy mid day meals along with a sweet dish were provided to the kids on daily basis. Kids were taken on swings and for a nature walk inside the school campus. Adaptation Program concluded with a visit to Pizza Hut, where they enjoyed their sumptuous pizza along with garlic bread and cold drinks. The program turned out to be super successful as each and every member of the youngest batch of KRM enjoyed the program and adapted themselves to the new environment with great joy.
