Adventure Camp

K.R. Mangalam World School believes in providing opportunities to its students to become self-reliant and more confident in their own abilities. Keeping this in mind an Eco adventure Camp was organized for the students and everyone right from the tiny-tots to the older kids of Class eighth, had a wonderful time at the camp.

March 4, 2010: The students of Pre-school, Pre-Primary and Class-III were the first ones to visit the camp at Najafgarh. The trip for Classes I and II was organized on March 10, 2010. A well deserved outing awaited the older kids from Class IV to Class VIII, on March 17, 2010, as they had just finished with their term exams.

The proceedings at the Camp were common for all the classes.  Upon reaching the camp site, the students were divided into various groups and each group had a team leader. After a sumptuous breakfast, the kids were taken for the various adventurous and thrilling activities like Wall climbing, River crossing, Commando Net, Rope Ladder, Rapelling and Burma  Bridge. Encouraging one another, the kids not only completed the activities but also enjoyed them. The most rapturous activities were the tractor and camel cart rides. The feel of being in a farm could be felt on these rides.  If the breakfast was tasty, the lunch was tastier and everyone had a hearty fill. Post lunch activities included a spirited game of tug of war between the classes. This was followed by a puppet and magic show which really enthralled our kids. A dance session in the end completed the fun quotient of the visit.

Who says teachers are a serious lot?? Not at KRM. They too had a nice time at the camp and even tried their hand at few of the activities like the Burma Bridge. The most courageous one even drove the tractor!!
