Graduation ceremony

“For Oceans to swell
They have to leave the sight of the shore.”

This held true on the morning of 25th February when a Graduation ceremony cum Farewell was organized for the students of Class V. Standing on the brink of moving to the Middle School, the present batch of Class V was bid farewell by their loving teachers and the juniors from Class IV.

The program started on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Gupta, the Vice-Principal Mrs. Renu Jain, Mr.Gunju, the Education Advisor and Mrs.Suhani Daur, the Primary In charge. This was followed by a motivating speech by the Principal, where she wished the students good luck and exhorted them to work hard with sincerity and dedication.

Dressed smartly in formal traditional wear, the outgoing batch of Class V  thoroughly enjoyed “their day”. There were foot tapping songs both in English and Hindi by the choir group of Class IV. The surprise of the day was the song sung by the teachers. The program reached the pinnacle of entertainment  with the dance performance by the talented dancers who really proved that ‘dance is the poetry of foot.’

The other items included, were the heart stirring speeches by the subject teachers of Class V, where they shared their experiences with the kids. The Primary In charge and the Education Advisor also addressed the gathering. The Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Gupta also felicitated the outgoing batch with acknowledgement certificates and gifts, which they graciously accepted. Later Mrs. Suhani Daur, the Primary In Charge handed over her most outstanding kids to Mrs. Renu Jain, the Vice Principal, a touching moment indeed!

A sumptuous treat organized for the students brought a befitting conclusion to the function.

“A little smile, a word of cheer, a bit of love from someone near, a little gift from one held dear, best wishes for exam and future year.”
