Dear Parents,
We welcome you back after the summer vacation. As our enthusiastic learners return to their classes after an invigorating break and the school pulsates with their dynamism and alacrity, it’s time to enlighten you about our initiatives & achievements in the past few months.
As you are aware, the school has made relentless efforts to supplement the knowledge & awareness of the students and nurture them into confident & enlightened individuals. It is the consistent pursuit of excellence that enabled our students to perform remarkably well in the 2009-2010 board exams. The class XII result displayed a remarkable leap over the previous year with the average student score rising to 74.3 . We are proud to inform you that our students have secured admission into the most coveted & prestigious colleges in India & abroad. The class X Board result was equally encouraging with 18% students securing a CGPA of 9 and above.
The Continuous and Comprehensive Scheme of evaluation was introduced from class six upwards with a view to promote the holistic development of the learners and supplement theoretical learning with practical knowledge. CCE has not only piqued the interest and curiosity of the students to explore and comprehend the world around them, but has also immensely contributed to their knowledge and awareness of diverse subjects. The continuity of evaluation under CCE has enabled us to identify the requirements and potential of each student and intervene positively to provide the requisite support and encouragement. The Asset management and Remedial classes, which were initiated to provide nurturing support in the academic sphere have proved to be a great boon for our learners & yielded excellent results. We would be resuming the classes very soon. Also on the anvil are special SAT classes for our XI and XII graders. For the benefit of class XII students, hundred solved questions in each subject have been added to the existing question bank on the virtual school.
We firmly believe that learning takes place in a conducive environment and there is a constant need to upgrade the infrastructure in consonance with the requirements of the times. Keeping the students’ interest in mind, the school underwent a thorough renovation. The school now boasts of improved infrastructure and a new Science lab.
In order to hone the skills of our learners and engage them in useful & productive work, we have initiated SUPW activities in classes 3-8. The school has striven to incorporate a plethora of activities to bring individual talent to the fore. Dramatics, Fine arts, Calligraphy, Pottery, Photography, Origami, Puppetry etc. provide the students with a unique platform to pursue and showcase their potential
Our zeal to broaden our horizons and explore new frontiers continued unabated in the summer break. The school had the unique privilege of hosting the First Roundtable on Education between Delhi, India & Victoria, Australia in the month of June. The Roundtable had been proposed to initiate discussions for further collaborations between the two countries and reinforce commitment towards meaningful partnerships in the school sector. Among the distinguished guests present on the occasion were Hon. Bronwyn Pike MP, Minister of Education, Skills & Workforce participation, Victoria, Mr. Arvinder Singh Lovely Minister of Education, Delhi and principals from leading schools in India.
With a view to forging strong international ties, the school initiated Exchange programs with Germany and Canada besides continuing the ongoing exchange program with Australia. Our students and teachers visited these countries in the summer break to get a grasp of their education system. It was an enlightening tour for all the visiting delegates as they got a firsthand experience of the education, culture & the career opportunities in these countries.
We solicit your cooperation in maintaining discipline in the school. Kindly ensure that your ward reaches school by 8.00 am as the school gates would be closed at 8.00. Parents of non bus users have been issued identification stickers for their vehicles. The stickers need to be prominently displayed on the windscreen of your cars.
The school’s success has been made possible due to your unstinted support & encouragement and we look forward to the same in the future.
Warm regards
