Independence Day Celebration

TRIP TO THE FOOD MART

CLASS – II
DATE – 31st JULY’09

    

An educational trip to The Food Mart was a wonderful experience for our young children. The trip was organized to give them a rich experience of learning about different types of food and their ipmortance too.
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to see and look around the types of food under one roof. The children were even given the opportunity to move around to see things and to explore the mart.
The students were split into different groups to view some of the products which were very healthy and nutritious like pulses, wheat, rice, diary products etc and they even named some junk food too.
They seemed to be excited to name some body building, energy giving and protective food too. They even saw some amazing sauces and spices which are used in food along with some organic food.
They thoroughly enjoyed eating a complementary pastry given to them

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS AT K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL,GK-II

K.R. Mangalam World School, Gk-II buzzed with activity and enthusiasm as the week-long Earth day celebrations got underway on 17 April ’09.  Myriad activities, which included slogan writing, poster making, workshops on recycling of waste, badge making, quiz and signature campaigns, were undertaken by the school to spread awareness about the environment. The campaign culminated on 23 April ’09 with a grand ceremony to mark the event. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by a welcome song. A riveting street play and a song further motivated the gathering to espouse the issue. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Jyoti Gupta, exhorted the students to remain committed to environmental causes, in her address. Among the distinguished guests present on the occasion was Mr. A.K Johari, D.I.G Ministry of Environment and Forests, Mrs. Gurumuthy, Director Academic, C.B.S.E, Mr. Anandajit, Associate fellow TERI, and Mrs. Anita Malhotra, Principal Summerfields School. The program concluded with a pledge to conserve the environment. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Vice- Principal Mrs. Renu Jain.

Spic Macay artists perform at K.R. Mangalam World School Gk-II

K.R. Mangalam World School, Gk-II reverberated with the sound of Indian classical music as leading Spic Macay exponents put up a scintillating display on 29 April ’09.
The school buzzed with excitement as the students waited with bated breath for the event to begin. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by the enthralling dance performance of  Priyadarsini Govind, a much sought after proponent of Bharatnatyam, renowned the world over for her significant contribution to the field of classical dance. Ms. Priyadarshini enamoured the audience with her dance performance which included Invocation, Rasleela and Abhinaya. Giving her company was vocalist Preeti Mahesh and instrumentalists Vasudevan Natvangam, Sri Shaktiven Muruga Nandan and Shikaha Mani.Also present on the occasion were students from D.P.S International, Summerfields School and K.R. Mangalam World School Vikaspuri. The event drew to a close with the felicitation of the artists by the principal, Mrs. Jyoti Gupta.

K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL ANNUAL PRESENTATION REPORT
ANNUAL CLASS PRESENTATION – CLASS I

The children of class I presented an exciting evening about a vast and greatly unexplored – ‘The Celestial World’. The journey into the mysterious world of planets, moons and stars was full of surprises and amazing facts. The students of class 1 practiced hard and put in their best effort to make the presentation a big success. The presentation highlighted the importance of peace, brotherhood and harmony and the necessity to raise our voice against terrorism. It was an enlightening experience for both parents and children as they entered the magical celestial world.
It was a proud moment for the children as the parents applauded and wished that the evening never comes to an end.

CLASS II TOPIC: RAINBOW

The students of class II actively participated in their annual presentation which had a very colorful theme- RAINBOW. the students were very enthusiastic and excited about the event. The aim of the presentation was to inculcate a sense of pride in one’s own achievement and building self-esteem. The tiny tots had put in a lot of efforts and dedication to make it a huge success. Days-n-days of practice prepared them for the D-day which earned them a lot of appreciation.
 
Our then Principal ma’am ‘Mrs.Meenu Goswami encouraged the students with her motivating words after inaugurating the show by cutting the ribbons of seven colors. This marked the beginning of the young actors and dancers who enthralled the audience by their performance which was highly appreciated by everyone present there. Our Primary In charge ‘Mrs. Suhani Daur’ presented the vote of thanks and applauded the students as well as her competent staff members.

The parents’ efforts in encouraging and supporting their little ones are highly appreciable.

CLASS III TOPIC: ANUBHAV: A JOURNEY TOWARDS SELF DISCOVERY:

The students of class III of K.R.MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL had their annual presentation on 12th Feb’09.

The theme of the show “ Anubhav- A journey towards self discovery” was very well coordinated with the students performing with gusto, zeal and enthusiasm.
The event started with a Welcome Song ‘Mangalam mein Swagatam’ followed by ‘Prakriti Dance’. The students performed par excellence. They enacted stories from the ‘Panchtantra’. There was a Song Recital on ‘Why should I be in a cage’.

The show was presided over by the-then Principal ‘Mrs. Meenu Goswami’ who enlightened the audience with her pearls of wisdom. The Primary In charge ‘Mrs. Suhani Daur’ applauded the students and her able staff. It was a rich learning experience for the students. The parents showed their full co-operation by turning in full capacity to inspire their young ones.

ANNUAL CLASS PRESENTATION – CLASS IV

dressed in colourful attire, the students presented cultural items at K.R. Mangalam World School,
G.K – II to mark the annual day celebrations with inherent zest and fervor in the school premises on 3rd February, 2009. The school wore a festive look and presented a feast for the eyes, by presenting the cultural burlesque of melody and dance to mark its annual day celebrations. The entire amphitheatre was adorned with the eye catching lively banners and gigantic smiley cut outs.
The show was compared by the students, who put a spectacular extravaganza for its annual cultural show. They presented a show full of foot tapping dances, peppy songs and mesmerizing performance based on the theme of ‘Smile’.

Standing true to its title ‘Smile’, the function was indeed successful in bringing smiles on everyone’s face as the parents congratulated the staff and students for putting up a grand show.

Class V Topic: colors of life

The students of class V hosted their annual presentation on 5th January’09. The occasion was graced by the chief Guest Mr. S. S. Ganju- the ‘Educational Advisor’ of our school, then Principal ‘Mrs Meenu Goswami’ and Vice-Principal ‘Mrs. Renu Jain’. The programme ‘RANGOTSAVA’ a celebration of colors- commenced with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest. This was followed by the ‘Ganesh Stuti’. The programe centered around a splash of colors blended with songs, dances and skit depicting life in various shades.the show provideda a platform to all the students to showcase their talents in dance, singing and acting. The students reiterated their commitment by emphasizing on their importance to make a day brighter.

Mr. S. S. Ganju and Principal Mrs. Meenu Goswami appreciated the efforts of the staff and students with their motivating and encouraging words.
