The Investiture Ceremony
The investiture ceremony of K.R. Mangalam World School , GK-II for the academic year 2009-10 was held on the 7th August’09 in the school ground. A song by the school choir marked the formal opening of the ceremony followed by a resplendent dance performance. The event witnessed the Principal Ms. Jyoti Gupta elaborating on the responsibility and accountability of being a badge holder. Ms. Puniya Salil Srivastava, an acclaimed IAS officer graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In her address she exhorted the students to demonstrate leadership qualities and be role model for others. The March Past by the four houses-Ruby, Topaz, Emerald and Sapphire was followed by the slow march of the newly elected Prefects’ Council. In the presence of the school Principal Ms. Jyoti Gupta, Vice Principal Ms. Renu Jain the chief guest administered the oath of office to the newly inducted prefectorial board.Varun Varnan Kapoor and Shuchi Khanna took over the office of Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Proud parents of the student leaders witnessed their children receiving the honour. Ms. Renu Jain, the Vice Principal proposed the Vote of Thanks after which the programme was brought to an end by the rendition of the National Anthem. Every person invested with the badge of office was brimming with confidence to shoulder the newly assigned duties, to work hard and bring honour and glory to the school.
