On 24th july,2009 the Pre-school children were taken for an outing to visit QUTAB MINAR. They were about 145 children with their respective teachers .They all were very excited and curious to see Qutabminar , as we reached there children were happy and surprised to see Qutabminar as it was a very tall monument, they were told many facts about Qutabminar as to where it is situated? Who built it? How many stairs it has? How many floors it has? They were also told that we should not spoil our national heritage, they were taken around the place and later were made to sit in a garden, where they relaxed themselves and were made to play games like “I sent a letter to my father…” ,ring a ring a roses…etc finally it was time for us to leave and board the bus.
It was a fun and an educational trip. |

The Pre-school and Pre-primary children of K.R.Mangalam world School visited MMI School, GK-II, New Delhi for a Science Exhibition on insects on Friday, September 18, 2009. The Science Exhibition was named 'The Bug Club'.
The concept was beautifully displayed with teachers explaining all about the insects and what kind of insects can be found where. They had also performed a few science experiments which were very interesting and a learning experience for them. |

PLACE: Post Office, Kalkaji |
The children of Pre-primary visited the Post Office in Kalkaji on Monday, October 12, 2009. This was in context to the topic...'HELPER' being taught in EVS.
The children were asked to carry an addressed envelope carrying a Diwali card alongwith Rs 5/- to purchase a stamp. The children on reaching the post office alongwith the teachers, were first allowed to observe the functioning of various departments. Postal stamps were bought out of their money. Children pasted the stamps on their respective envelopes and were allowed to post the letters in the mailbox.
The entire process allowed the children to learn how important a Postman is to us and the basic postal operation. Most of the children have received the letters and have expressed pride and happiness in being able to unravel the world of postal system. |

In continuation to the EVS topic on 'Helpers', a visit to the Children's Park was organized on 23 October for students of Pre-Primary. This was to help children learn about helpers around us and know them better. The children had a great time playing on the swings, in the sand and basking in the sun. |

| The tiny tots of pre-school visited Railway Museum at Chanakya Puri, on 6th November'09. They were amazed to see huge engines and locomotives. Their enthusiasm was not only evident but also infectious. They enjoyed the ride on the Toy Train and had sumptuous meal in the beautiful park. |

"Eat right, veggies delight". The tiny-tots of pre-school visited a farm house at Chhatarpur on 20th November.
With lots of vegetables, fruits and greenery all around, the kids enjoyed themselves. They were excited to see how the fresh vegetables like-tomato, potato, brinjal, onion, cabbage, cauliflower, bitter guard, beans, carrot, radish, turnip, spinach, ginger, ladyfinger, mustard, coriander, mint etc. were growing out of a tiny plant. Huge trees of papaya, neem, orange, guava and lemon caught their fancy. It was not only a refreshing outing but also an interesting one |

Pre- primary went on a trip to the museum on 20th November, 2009. Children had learnt about 'Helpers' and 'Modes of transport'. The museum provides the right platform to understand both the topics in EVS. They could see all the engines and bogies, belonging right from the early days to the present times. Children along with their teachers took a joy ride in the toy train. It was indeed a fun filled experience |
