SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK AT K R M GK II

The students of K R Mangalam World School GK II celebrated their Social Science Week with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm as they put up a show `Jashn-e-Hind’-`A Salute to Nation’.The school welcomed Dr Sunita S Kaushik ,Additional Director of Education ( Schools ) as the Chief Guest for the event. The Principal, Mrs Renu Jain, extended a hearty welcome to her and all the other dignataries. In her address she emphasised the need to nurture the three Ms in our life- becoming a Master in whatever we do, becoming a trustworthy Member of the society and adding Meaning to our life.
The Event saw various Inter House Competitions-March Past, Tableaux, Dance and Food Stalls. The function started with Flag hoisting followed by The March Past by all the four houses. The school Choir group then enthralled everybody with a melodious rendition of ‘I love My India’.

The Hindi Skit `Meri Pukaar’was next which portrayed the life of our freedom fighters. The tableau display from the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh brought forth the skills in art and craft, cultural heritage and creativity of the students. The elaborately decorated Food Stalls with their mouth watering delicacies left everybody asking for more.
In her address, the Chief Guest applauded the efforts of the students and stated that all of us need to carve out a niche for ourselves and realize our potential. She added that the need of the hour is to dream big and become responsible citizens of the country. Mrs Chitra proposed the Vote of Thanks to culminate the event.
