ISCKON Temple Visit
With the objective to rejuvenate the students and with the purpose of sensitizing them towards religious tolerance and to develop their personalities, students of classes III & IV visited the ISKCON Temple on Friday, 24th July 2009.
It was a true learning experience. The best part was the kirtan, the chanting of mahamantra....Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare.... Saffron robed men danced in devotion to the beat of drums/mridangam and holy mantra. The students too danced in euphoria and seemed to be least troubled by the bombardment of all the holy sounds. Chanting revives our sub consciousness and the rejuvenation could be seen in the zest of the students.
They were given Prasad at the end of the Aarti. Listening to the non-stop chanting of this maha mantara did enchant the students. The students realized that the same God worshipped in a different manner and can give totally different perspective to the religion.
The values taught were - Disciplined, Pure, Pragmatic & Contented life.

To their delight, they found children from all religions, living together as a family, in perfect harmony. The students had a wonderful time and many of them have decided to contribute to the cause and help in any way they can.
